Middle School

The Middle School program at AISCT builds on the basic skills from Elementary School and prepares students for study at the High School level. Alongside core classes in English, math, science, social studies and foreign language (French/Spanish), Middle School students continue their exposure to AISCT's specialist subjects of art, drama, music, IT and physical education and attend lessons in each of these areas twice weekly. Leadership opportunities are presented through our StuCo (Student Council) initiatives. Educational fieldtrips, service learning events, residential teambuilding camps and house competitions also form part of the Middle School experience.

At AISCT, we take our pastoral role seriously. Students are distributed into homeroom groups and have a daily homeroom meeting time each morning to discuss events, deadlines and general school issues. Once weekly, students also attend a Life Skills lesson following a curriculum set out by the guidance counselor to address topics of self, relationships, study skills, organization and other issues to prepare them for High School and beyond.
