High School

In pursuit of the AISCT mission, the High School program is framed by a holistic approach towards education in which learning is not limited to the classroom. The High School experience at AISCT provides a varied after-school activity and athletics program, service learning opportunities, house competitions, educational and teambuilding field trips and preparation for standardized tests (PSAT/SAT/AP). Leadership opportunities are also presented through our StuCo (Student Council) initiatives. These opportunities, along with regular, honors and advanced coursework, are intended to prepare our students for success in both national and international universities. High School students continue their personal and social education through their weekly Life Skills program with varying emphasis on self, social skills, career and university guidance. A service/adventure expedition for High School students is planned for June 2012.

Our exit qualification is an American High School Diploma based on credits earned over the four-year High School program. We offer over 20 courses in our core academic disciplines of English, math, science, social studies and foreign language (French/Spanish), seven AP (Advanced Placement) courses and more than 20 elective courses in areas such as the arts (visual, music and dance), business, media studies (IT, journalism and yearbook), MUN (Model United Nations) and physical education. Graduation requirements include the necessary logging of credits, participating in service learning, taking the SAT (or equivalent standardized test) and completing the Senior Exit Task in Grade 12.
